Summary

Duke of York's visit. Scene at Government House entrance gates Walker negative collection. The now demolished Porter's Hall can be seen in this photograph guarding the Western Entrance to Government House. This photograph was taken from the opposite building and shows the carriage conveying the Duke of York to Government House. Troops of soldiers stand outside in North Terrace, along with the band and mounted soldiers. A large crowd is enjoying the spectacle.
