Summary

[General description] Two coaches stand next to Hassell and Son's Central Printing Office in Franklin Street. The nearest one is drawn by a five horse team, people are seated in tiers on the outside of the coach and are crammed into the inside. Other people stand in the street nearby, possibly waiting to board or see off passengers. The GPO tower is seen in the background. [On back of photograph] 'Acres 237 and 238 / Franklin Street / North side / Mail coaches in Franklin Street / c. 1908 / the near side of the two storey building on extreme left is 16 yards east of Post Office Place'.
