Summary

Mundoo Barrage (Near view) In September 1914 it was suggested by Mr H Eaton from the Engineer in Chief's Department that a temporary dam be constructed to separate the salt water from the fresh water. The proposal was to decrease the quantity of salt entering the lakes. Mundoo Channel is the shortest distance between the sea and the lakes. The Mundoo Barrage and Boundary Creek Barrage adjoin Mundoo Island and the Boundary Creek Barrage and Ewe Island Barrage adjoins Ewe Island.
