Summary

Chimney of an old steam sawmillon section 1133 or 1118 in the Hundred of Onkaparinga, on the road from Stirling East to Carey's Gully about 1.5 miles north east of Stirling East. It is situated on land formerly occupied by Sir RD Hanson and now owned by the Mount Lofty Golf Club on Cox's Creek. This photograph was taken in 1898. The mill was operating as early as the eighteen fifties. The chimney was demolished between 1898 and 1918.
