Summary

Mr. Mat. Wilson's Store, known as the Victoria River Depot. Mat Wilson and Denis Ronan managed the Victoria River Depot on the Koonbook Station during 1927-34. Thomas Ronan, son of Denis, helped in the store also and used the characters he met there in his books. By 1934 Mat Wilson had committed suicide. Thomas Ronan provided an authentic vision of life in the North-West big river country.
