Summary

Pupils of Riverton High School, a private school run by Mrs Bennett who is standing at the back, second from the right. Photograph was taken December 8, 1892. In 1892 a frame building containing six rooms was built costing four thousand pounds. The building was located on Fourth Street facing Howard Street. Next door stood a pink building which was the first Catholic chapel which was later deconsecrated and used for the first kindergarten in Burlington County. The students appear to be mainly female with only three boys.
