Summary

Panoramic view of Callington, man and woman resting in foreground. Callington was surveyed in 1848 after copper was discovered. The Inn opened in 1851. Little copper was mined before the miners followed the Victorian gold rush. Later the Bremer Mine was opened digging down to the water table but it fell into liquidation in 1870 when copper prices fell
