National Bank, Strathalbyn

View down Albyn Terrace at Strathalbyn, looking west, featuring the premises of the National Bank on the far left. A sign advertising Pike & Co beer, Oakbank, is in view on the Victoria Hotel.

Strathalbyn looking north over Bennett and Fishers sale yards in Rankine Street probably taken from the roof of the old court house which is now the National Trust Museum. Bennett and Fisher later merged with Southern Farmers Company.

A west facing view of Strathalbyn taken from the bell tower of St. Andrew's Church looking north showing the River Angas and stepping stones. The cottage on the right was built by David Stoddard 1806 - 1880. The cottage and remains of the large gum tree in front of it are still there. The Bowling Green Club House can be seen on the left.

Methodist Church, Strathalbyn. The Foundation Stone was laid December 16, 1861 and the church was opened on July 22, 1862.

Strathalbyn. According to a researcher, this is a view looking north east from St. Andrews Church tower. Manchester and Glasgow House can be seen to the left of the photograph. David Bell and Company Boot Shop appears in the middle of the photograph. AE Westley and Victoria House share a long single storey building to the right of the photograph. The butchers and a hotel can be seen among other township buildings.

St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church

St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. This church building was constructed in stages starting in 1848 and grow as the congregation outgrew the premises. The nave, gallery, spire and porch were added in 1865. The last of the buildings was completed in 1938 when the vestry was added.
