The war memorial erected outside the Smithfield Institute building, South Australia. Due to vandalism, the soldier on the monument was replaced with a cross in 1980. The Institute building was demolished in 1989, and a row of shops now stand where the Institute now was (corner of Queen Street and Anderson Walk, Smithfield). The monument was moved to a park on the opposite side of Anderson Walk.
