Two men, one on a motor and one on a bicycle and two young children can also be seen.

Awaiting the train bringing home soldiers from the South African War. The railway station was built in 1879 with a turntable added in 1891-92. This photograph shows the townsfolk welcoming back soldiers from the South African War with a large banner stating "Welcome Home Boys".

Pinkerton Creek, Quorn originally supplied water to the township and railway dam. The springs and wells in Pinkerton Creek were vital in this semi arid area.
