Molly McCann

Information provided with the photo suggests that the photograph was taken at the time of her presentation to King George VI (she was presented to the monarch as part of the coronation celebrations in January 1938); but Molly and her mother were also presented to the court in May 1932. While this photo could be from either date, it is assumed to be the earlier one.

Pte W.L. McCann
Portrait of Private William L. McCann of Geranium, oldest son of Mr & Mrs J.L. McCann of Kingswood. He enlisted in the 2/10th Battalion in March 1941 and left for overseas in September of the same year. He returned to Australia in August 1942 and left for New Guinea in October. While being transferred by plane to the battlefield (of the Battle of Wau) the plane crashed on landing and he died of injuries on 18 January 1943. William was a keen tennis player and footballer.
