Abraham Fordham. According to a descendant, he established the 'Eagle on the Hill' hotel and owned a number of hotels in Adelaide, including Fordham's Hotel in the 1840s. He also organized and ran the first Adelaide show out of the back yard of one of his Hotels. Abraham Fordham arrived in 1837 at the age of 34. He established himself as a hotelier and opened the Fordham's Hotel, later known as the Sturt Arcade Hotel in Grenfell Street. The hotel was originally built from packing cases in which port wine had been brought out from England. He also established the Anderson's Arms on Mount Barker Road, the name of which was officially changed to Eagle-On-The-Hill in 1855. It was renamed because a large hawk/eagle often sat on a flagpole near the entrance. Bushrangers terroised patrons and travellers near the hotel. Abraham Fordham suffered ill health and died aged 61

Anthony Forster was a politician, financier and newspaper owner and editor in colonial South Australia. He was born in County Durham and arrived at Glenelg with his wife Catherine in 1841. He was editor of the South Australian Register and was elected to the South Australian Legislative Council in 1855. He returned to England and died in Sussex

Robert Fotheringham of Kapunda was a brother to five other brothers who migrated to South Australia. Robert arrived with brother Thomas in 1855 and joined the family brewing business. They later expanded the business from Gawler to Kapunda. The brothers became prominent and respected citizens in the community

Robert Fotheringham, possibly one of the five Fotheringham brothers who sailed from Dundee to South Australia. Brother James arrived in 1838 and started a family brewing business. Robert arrived in 1855 and joined the company. The brothers later expanded the Gawler Brewery to another site at Kapunda. Later the factory produced cordials. Robert, along with his brothers were leading members of the St Andrews Presbyterian Church in Gawler. According to a researcher, the brothers' parents were David Fotheringham and Agnes Beveridge, married at Tillyochie in 1814. They lived in Cambus, Clackmananshire Scotland. David was a master Whiskey distiller and had commercial interests in shipping.

Edward Charles Frome (1802-1890) soldier, surveyor. Arrived in Adelaide in 1839 after he was appointed the third Surveyor General of South Australia. When he arrived he discovered that many of the sections already occupied near Adelaide had been inaccurately marked by Sir George Kingston. He also undertook, without pay, the duties of Colonial Engineer. He was an artist and his pictures depict life in the new colony of South Australia.

Mrs Amelia Georgina Fuller (nee Harward) 1834-1926. Mayoress of Adelaide while her husband served three terms as Mayor. She was reknown as being the first mayoress in South Australia to give birth to a son during her term in office. She came to South Australia with her family when she was sixteen on board the 'Caroline' in 1849. She was a great charity worker and attended Holy Trinity Church. She perfomed thirty years active service with the Young Womens Christian Association.

Henry Robert Fuller, Mayor of Adelaide from 1866-1869. During his time as Mayor he received and entertained HRH The Duke of Edinburgh on each occasion he visited South Australia. As a politician he was elected to the South Australian House of Assembly for West Adelaide 1865-1870 and was a member of the South Australian Legislative Council for Central District 1 from 1894 to 1900. He arrived in Adelaide in 1845 and was connected to the SA Carrying Company. With others he took over Cobb and Co. and renamed it John Hill and Co. Together with his wife Amelia Georgina Fuller they reared twelve children.
