Two workers loading a ten-ton lorry, ca. 1940, before driving it onto the ferry to cross the River Murray. White fences, gate and machinery can be seen in detail at the ferry landing, with River Red Gums growing on the forested river bank. A large load of farm goods and equipment can also be seen in the photo, which was taken from the punt.
