See Kimes/Clark, 'Standard Catalog of American Cars 1805-1942'. According to the owner of the car, 'The car in this photo is a 1913/14 Regal Model N Roadster (Underslung). It's not an American Underslung as listed in the notes. The two cars share the same underslung suspension design but the American Underslung is a much larger car and has a completely different body design. An early Vauxhall open motor car

An early Vauxhall open motor car

Two men driving in an early open motor car, a Vauxhall "Prince Henry" Model, possibly prepared for Adelaide-Melbourne record run in 1913. [Information provided by David Manson]. The car is a 1913 4 Litre Prince Henry Vauxhall, driven eastward on Park Terrace (now Greenhill Road) by Murray Aunger who was the Vauxhall agent and was keen to publicise the make. The most notable exploit in this car was the Melbourne to Adelaide run in 1914 where he beat the Melbourne Express. The car was subsequently re-bodied by Aunger's works, and remained in his company and its successors to this day.
