View of derrick boat winding gear

View of derrick boat winding gear

Description in album containing photograph reads "Captain Sturt's engine room", however a researcher suggests this is not the 'Captain Sturt' but the 'Derrick Boat' [from information supplied]. Additional information supplied by a researcher: "This is not the S.W. Captain Sturt's engine room. A quick glance at any photo of the Captain Sturt will tell you that the height of her engine room is much lower than in this photo. This is the winding gear for the winches on the 90 foot Derrick boat. This is clearly evident by the cables and pulley's running from the engines". (Godson number 145A/183).
