Christ Church, Mount Gambier
[General description] This church, designed by local architect William Thomas Gore was built of dolomite and features a roof with many gables and an imposing bell tower. The foundation stone for this church was laid on February 21, 1865. Stained glass windows by Melbourne firm Ferguson & Urie were installed in 1867. Karratta House, Robe
[General description] Front of Karratta House, Robe. It is a substantial stone mansion which was built by pastoralist Henry Jones in 1860, looking out over Lake Butler (in the foreground). It was subsequently renovated and used as a holiday house by Sir James Ferguson, Governor of South Australia in the 1870s. It appears to be undergoing work in this photograph as one end section and a verandah have been demolished. Later was owned and again renovated (c. 1900) by Henry Dutton of Anlaby.


Weetulta
A 1928 Model one and a half ton truck owned by Graham Brothers. According to a researcher, the brand of the truck is Graham Brothers. Graham Brothers trucks were built from the early 1920s through to 1928, using Dodge machinery. By 1929 the trucks were badged with the Dodge emblem. It is possible the truck was owned by J.R. Ferguson, as inscribed on the vehicle.

William Bickford
Portrait of William Bickford, Junior; son of William Bickford ; senior partner of A.M. Bickford and Sons. He was born in South Australia in 1841. He was the second generation of the Bickford family who were manufacturing chemists. They produced drugs, cordials and soft drinks. William Bickford junior married Margaret Jane Ferguson and they had seven children. Their first home was at Fairfield in Somerton and he was elected to Brighton Council and twice held the position of Mayor. He was president of the Adelaide Chamber of Commerce 1894-95. He and his brother Harry produced fine merino wool at their property Burnside Station near Naracoorte


Captain John Lindsay
Captain John Lindsay was born in Scotland in 1818. He was captain of the schooner "Gem", the brig "Europa", "Francis Cadell", "The Packet" and the snag boat "Grappler". He was also appointed to the command of his Excellency Sir James Ferguson's yacht "Edith". Later until the time of his death he was in charge of the South Australian Government steamer "Governor Musgrave". Captain John Lindsay is believed to have built "Captain's Cottage" circa 1860 at Goolwa.
