A miscellaneous collection of photographs relating to the Baker family. Items 1-15 are loose photos: items 1-7 are photographs which were originally in a family photo album; items 8-15 include those taken when Baker was at Cambridge, England. In addition, there is a photograph album which is believed to have belonged to Sie Richard Chaffery Baker, and later taken over by his daughter, Adelaide E. Chaffey Baker. There are quite a few pen and ink drawings done by Adelaide E. Chaffey Baker in th album in addition to photos.

[General description] Head and shoulders portrait of Robert Barr Smith in seven eighths view. He was sole partner with Thomas Elder in the well known Adelaide firm Elder Smith & Co. and was director and shareholder of several pastoral, mining, Insurance companies and banks as well as the South Australian Company. He was an active philanthropist, giving large amounts to public institutions. He was greatly repected by all and is said to have refused a knighthood.

North Terrace, south side. The left side of the centre building abuts Bank Street. Frontage 46 yards. New Cheer-up Hostel will use floor of this building on North Terrace for new sleeping quarters for F.F. Prominent Adelaide businesswoman Alexandrine Seager established the Cheer-Up Society to provide general comfort, welfare and entertainment for soldiers leaving or returning from the Great War.
