The Arthur Studio : SUMMARY RECORD
A collection of over 6500 photographs taken by Mount Gambier photography firm of Arthur & Son (later The Arthur Studio). The images, mostly taken by Eric Arthur, provide a comprehensive visual perspective on the people, places and events from the late 1930s to the 1970s in the Mount Gambier region. The earlier photos are the work of his father, Garnet William Arthur, who established the business.

A researcher has identified the groom as Dudley Arthur Wachtel, born 28 July 1913, in Palmer, South Australia, son of Arthur Freidrich Theodore Wachtel and Ester Rosina Dohnt. The bride is Hazel Coral Fromm, born 7 November 1923, daughter of Benjamin Rudoph Fromm and Beatrice Brice Phelps.
