Also shows the area leased (exclusive of pastoral leases) to population to same date; the horses, cattle, sheep on the land in March 1882 and the population in April 1881. Has explanatory text with summary of findings.

The location of the intended Botanic Gardens is indicated on the western side of the City between two roads to Port Adelaide. A cemetery and market place are shown in the parklands adjacent to West Terrace and south west of the city are two roads to Holdfast Bay. The hospital is in the parklands adjacent to East Terrace and in North Adelaide a storehouse and school can be found.

Three sepia-toned photograph albums, each with the title 'Inverness, McLaren Vale' on the cover, with a total of 65 gelatin silver photographs. The albums have dimensions 15.5 x 24 cm, and are bound in half calf and cloth. The first album includes detailed captions, and the second and third albums are dated March 1916 and 1st March 1919, respectively.
