The Victoria and South Australia Courts at the Philadelphia Exhibition, 1876
A steroscopic albumen print photograph of the Philadelphia Exhibition in 1876 produced by the Centennial Photographic Co., Philadelphia. The image shows displays from Victoria, and those of South Australia, Tasmania and Canada behind it are in view on the left side. In the foreground are signs for the Republic of Chile and Argentine Republic, with the display from Hong Kong clearly visible. The photograph conveys the context in which products from the British Empire were viewed in this landmark international exhibition in the United States. On the reverse, the President is listed as W.M. Notman, the Vice President W. Irving Adams, the Superintendent and Treasurer Edward L. Wilson, and Art Superintendent J.A. Fraser. The photograph is slightly faded, particularly the left image.

Shops that can be identified are; Stump & Co., photographers, John Steel, watchmaker & jeweller, T.J. Hannam, fruiterer, Eskell & Tattersall, dentists, W.H. Bishop's tea, coffee & refreshment rooms, and Moss's loan bank. according to a researcher the tram belongs to Adelaide and Suburban Tramway Company, and is destined for North Adelaide and Nailsworth. The terminus was at Rakes Road - now Regency Road, Enfield.
