Gilbert Street, north side, Adelaide
Gilbert Street, north side. Premises of Avalon Shoes, completed in 1955 and photographed on 5th December, 1957. For another view of this building see B 13567. The frontage of the building is 20 yards and its left side abuts the east side of Tapley Street.


South Terrace, Adelaide
A large two storey building, viewed from the parklands opposite, occupies the centre of the view, contrasting with workmen's cottages in Louisa Street. The right side of the building abuts west side of Loisa Street, and its frontage is 19 3/4 yards. The balcony and verandah were removed in 1958. For a photo prior to alteration, see B 14108, and to view the Louisa Street frontage, see B 14208. The two storey house has two wings with the front door set back from the street. A balustrated parapet adorns the front of the house. Quoins and balconies on each of the sets of arched windows complete the picture


North Terrace, south side
View taken on December 31st, 1953, of the Mothers' and Babies' building on North Terrace, with cars of the era parked in front. The building has a frontage of 12 yards, and is situated 51 yards east of Gawler Place.
