Raymond Scott in the grounds of Willunga High School, aged 15 and a half. He was Willunga's representative in the Youth Travel programme, which ran 1951-1955 (excluding 1954), and sponsored by The Advertiser. Originated by the Herald Sun, Victoria, it was replicated in S.A. by The Advertiser's general manager Sir Lloyd Dumas. The youths, all male, were intended to be viewed as ambassadors for Australia, in Britain to attract migrants during the post-World War II period.
