[General description] A display of electric motors, arranged as for an exhibition with two men who are probably demonstrating. [On back of photograph] 'Electric motors 5 hp, 10 hp & 25 hp / Manufactured by Wallaroo and Moonta Mining and Smelting Co. Ltd. at Wallaroo Mines / 1917-18'.

Street scene, Wallaroo. Photo taken looking south from Owen Terrace across the railway towards John Terrace. David Bower and Co. of Wallaroo built the large building in the background in 1874 who operated a timber business. In 1875 he sold this business to Rossiter and Davies. The two storey building in top left was built as the Methodist Manse and is still standing (2008). [Information provided by N. Woods.]

The old jetty at Wallaroo with six ships moored alongside. This photograph was taken during the time when the shipment of wheat exceeded 53,000 bags for the season, a record for South Australian loading at the time.
