Government residence at Marble Hill

The Governor's summer residence at Marble Hill, Norton Summit in the Adelaide Hills. The house, built in 1879, was burnt out in a bushfire on 2 January 1955 when Governor Sir Robert George was in residence.

The General Post Office on the corner of King William and Franklin Streets, seen from a south-east position in Victoria Square. The foundation stone was laid in November 1867 by HRH Prince Alfred, The Duke of Edinburgh and the building was completed in May 1872. The tower clock and bell were installed in 1876.

Two other trams from Enfield are going in to Adelaide. The three trams are stopped on the 'balloon loop' which the North Adelaide trams used to turn around. Later the balloon loop was replaced by a turntable to avoid wear ib the tram wheel, and horse trams were extended to propsect and Nailsworth.
