Hawker brought the bright yellow bi-plane to Australia in 1914, doing numerous demonstration flights. The photo is of a flight at Randwick Racecourse, Sydney, on Saturday 21 February 1914, when Hawker took the Governor General, Lord Denman, for a flight. Hawker was killed in a flying accident in 1921.
