The aircraft was transferred to the R.A.A.F. in 1921, redesignated A3-16 and operated by No. 1 Flying Training School from 1921 to 1927. At 5 O'Clock On the afternoon of 31 January 1920 two motor cars, one of which was driven by Mr. J. Belcher of East Adelaide, collided at the intersection of King William Road and South Terrace. Mr. Belcher was accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Merry of Springbank and two children, a son and a niece. No one was seriously injured. The photograph shows Mr. Belcher's motor car after the impact. The driver of the other vehicle failed to stop and although pursued escaped without being identified.
