This image was previously described as the Premiership team. Although North won the premiership in 1920 this was not the side. A researcher explains 'Winning this game sealed the minor premiership for North, and they then set out on an interstate trip. They played in Sydney and Ballarat before returning to Adelaide in time to play the 1st Semi Final on 4th September. Mat Kinnear broke his leg on the interstate trip and didn't play again until Round 14 1921'.

Percy Crowley is 3rd from left in the front row. Another researcher suggests that this photo is the civil service team that played a combined Banks team. An annual game was held yearly from the 1880's up to World War 2. There are Sturt players in the photo. Another researcher provided the following information: A copy of this photograph appears in 'The Critic' of 4 August 1920 and is captioned Public Service Football Team. The 'Register' of 28 July 1920 gives the names of the team selected to play against the Combined Banks team: O.B. Beatty, L.P. Jervis, P. Crowley, F.C. Curnow, F.J. McNally, L.R. Davies, H.H. Dixon, H.B. Groves, J.A. Hansen, J.L.R. Kay, J.W. Wainwright, W.J. Keane, G.F. King, V.Y. Richardson, R.N. Sanders, B.E. Schumacher, D.C. Sharp, F.C. Shearer (emergencies) C. Groves, G. Murray.

This photo appeared in 'The Observer' newspaper, Saturday 27 April 1918, page 23, along with a description of the parade: 'Returned Soldiers' Building Fund Appeal. The appeal which is being made to the public in behalf of our returned sailors and soldiers for a central home or clubhouse was continued on Saturday afternoon, when a fine programme of sports was contested on the Juibilee Oval. The military authorities lent their hearty co-operation, with the result that one of the finest processions which has been seen in Adelaide for some time was witnessed by thousands of patriotic citizens, who thronged the main thoroughfares of the metropolis.' This particular photo was captioned 'The infantry marching past th saluting base at the Town Hall. His Excellency the Governor (Sir Henry Galway) is seen taking the salute.'
