The officer in the front row, second from left, is Renfrey Gershom Burnard, who enlisted 14/8/1916 and embarked for overseas on 19 February 1917, which puts the date of this photograph within that time frame. The following have been identified in the front row: Colonel Goghill second from left (see also PRG 280/1/8/436]; Connor third from right; F.M. Lorenzo 8th from right; Colonel Dean 9th from right; Colonel F.J.D. Darvall 10th from right; and T. Hancock 11th from right. The man fifth from right also appears in PRG 280/1/42/114 and the man 6th from right also appears in PRG 280/1/39/182. A researcher has suggested that the small group that appears in PRG 280/1/42/114 and this photo appear to have been taken at the same time at the Jubilee (ie Exhibition) Oval during the later years of WWI. It is possible that the small group is the local staff and the large includes staff from HQ at Keswick.
