Motor accident on Frome Bridge, Adelaide

At about 6.00 am on Sunday 14 October 1923 Alfred William Parker of Highbury Street, Prospect, was driving his taxi cab No.11844 north across the Frome Road Bridge. The taxi ran into the balustrade hurling the ironwork into the river below. The gearbox of the taxi caught on the edge of the bridge stopping the taxi. Mr. Parker was not injured.

HMAS ANZAC at Port Adelaide

The HMAS ANZAC sailing in to Port Adelaide. Built in Scotland in 1917 for the Royal Navy, ANZAC was sold to the RAN arriving in Sydney in 1920. She remained in service until 1933 before being sunk as a target in 1936.
