Brass die for manufacturing door trim upholstery of Holden HT Premier

Brass die featuring a brocade pattern, used to produce the upholstery patterning on the interior door trim of the Holden HT Premier between 1969 and 1970. The item was collected by Mr Wally Clarebrough, a former long serving employee in GMH management who served as Export Manager. Includes a felt covered frame [4.8 x 37.7 cm] which was originally used to mount this particular die on display.

Top-secret

Eight cartoons on one sheet, tited 'Top-secret', drawn in ink with gouache hightlights. The images sequentially depict an editor being given a 'secret and personal' invitation to the launch of the new [FB] Holden, 14 January 1960. Stamped on back The words 'Published 20 Jan 1960' are stamped on the reverse side.

The booklet is held together with one screw designed to act as a swivel, with a press stud clasp. Colours include: Mephisto Red, Dante Red, Dover Blue, Calais Blue, Dawson Aqua, Alaskan Aqua, Opera Green, Ballet Green, Copra Fawn, Valsand Fawn, Goya Red, Paloma Blue, and Honey Fawn.
