![Harriet Brown with her son Denis](https://slsa-collections.s3.amazonaws.com/81/98/c6fe-7373-5ace-adfc-3c669d4c7214.jpg)
Harriet Brown with her son Denis
A woman with a toddler on her knee, identified on the back of the photo as 'Dennis Jacob (with Harriet Brown) died April 1st 1863 aged 6 years buried at Penwortham'. However, there seems to be some confusion: Denis Jacob (1857-1863) was the son of John Jacob and his wife Mary nee Cowles. Denis Edmund Brown was born 1865 to George William Brown and his wife Hannah Bennett nee Beck. It seems more like that this is Denis Brown. See also PRG 558/39/46.

Ann Horrocks
Portrait of a woman identified as 'Aunt Horrocks, sister to J.J.'. Since this photo is opposite a portrait of 'Uncle Horrocks' (PRG 558/39/38) it is probably Ann Horrocks nee Jacob who married Arthur Horrocks in 1850.

Henry and Caroline Jacob
Portrait of two children identified as 'H. Jacob & C. Jacob'. This is almost certainly Henry (born 1858) and Caroline (born 1861), children of John Jacob and his wife Mary (nee Cowles).
