Belair railway station opened in 1883 with the opening of the Adelaide to Aldgate section of the Adelaide to Melbourne line. A large wooden shelter was built for the crowds who used the train to visit the nearby National Park

Clayton Congregational Church, Kensington in the 1890's. Sweet Adelaide 473. The suburb the church stands in is now known as Beulah Park. During 1855 a large and commanding site on the corner of Portrush Road (then known as Kensington Terrace) and The Parade (then East Parade) was purchased. A stone and brick church was built in 1856. A gallery was added to the chapel in 1862. At the time of this photograph a fine new organ built by JE Dodd and Sons was installed. The church had seating for 560 people.
