Liberation of Normandy memorial. "This memorial is dedicated to all personnel who took part in the liberation of Normandy D-Day June 6th 1944 to August 20th 1944." The memorial is on the Pathway of Honour which runs along the northern boundary of Government House, 12 July 2012.

Crowning the winner of the Big Store Queen competition

Mrs Dudley Hayward awarding the crown to Miss Norman, Queen of the food group, who was the winner of the 'Big Store' Queen competiton. The presentation is in the John Martin's dining hall where there is a large crowd including other contestants. Several members of the band orchestra are in view including Bill Piercy, Lionel Dix and Don Gibson. The competition was held by John Martin's to raise funds to purchase drums for the 2/43rd battalion.
