Morphett. [A researcher has suggested that the man on the bank was Lord Mayor Brigland (1966-1968) which would date the photo to that time. The identifications were taken from the back of the photograph.]

Adelaide Rowing club boathouse pre 1931. A new boathouse was opened 14th December 1889 after flood of April 1889. It was destroyed by fire 6th March 1931 and rebuilt, existing boathouse opened 31st October 1931. A crowd can be seen on the upper verandah and in front of the boathouse with three men sitting on the ground in front with two crossed oars.

Whyte (stroke), V. Smith (Cox), A.J. Grayson (Coach right back), W.H.G. Blain (left back) sitting under a tree. According to a researcher, it is possible that C.T. Madigan is seated in the middle row - second from left, based on comparison with other photographs of Cecil Madigan. The oarsman at position 4 is J Thompson.
