Glass cylindrical tube filled with seven different metals: copper sulphide, copper oxide, copper pyrite, copper sulphate, Mount Isa Ore (silver lead copper), silver lead (80% silver) and copper (98% copper), brought back from Mount Isa by George Willoughby during the World War Two era. Includes accompanying note listing the metal types in the cylinder. ca.1945. 21.3 cm x 1.8 cm diameter.

Karen Willoughby was visiting her Auntie and Uncle, Dot and Jack Willoughby, who both worked at Malcolm Fraser's homestead in Nareen, Victoria. ca.1960.

1939-1945 Star medal and ribbon, World War 2, awarded to George William Willoughby. Inscribed on the reverse is 'VX8882 G.W. Willoughby'. No. VX8882 Private George William Willoughby was born in Beulah, Victoria on 4 November 1908. He enlisted with the Australian Army in Melbourne on 27 November 1939 and served with the 2/108 Australian General Transport Company. He was discharged on 26 January 1944. 1945. 2 cm.
