Summary

Photograph of several items displayed in window No.1 at the Rundle Street store for the BP England-Australia Commemorative Air Race in December 1969. The window commemorates the first flight from England to Australia by Ross and Keith Smith in 1919. It includes the 1969 50th anniversary medal (top), the 1920 silver medals from the Aero Club of France (middle) and the 1920 medals from the Royal Aero Club, London. The latter medals may have been held by the National Gallery of South Australia.
