Summary

Photograph of several items displayed in window No.1 at the Rundle Street store for the BP England-Australia Commemorative Air Race in December 1969. The window commemorates the first flight from England to Australia by Ross and Keith Smith in 1919. It includes a rare cover, flown on the Vimy Vickers, from Bandar Addas, Persia, franked with Indian stamps and signed by Keith Smith (top); portion of a cover flown by Etienne Poulet, showing three line rubber stamp cachet (middle) and another rare cover, flown from Sourabaya (bottom).
