Part of a collection of glass plate negatives which have been transferred from the National Trust of South Australia, Victor Harbor Branch. The images comprise portraits, mainly of women, and outings on the beach at Victor Harbor. The negatives were originally from Charles Hoffmann [assumed to be Hoffmann Photographics, Victor Harbor]. Austral Standard Orthichrome Plates.

Maurice Doody was the seventh of eight children to John Doody and Ellen Gertrude Fitzsimons, and was born in Adelaide on 14 February 1915. He enlisted in the Army on 27 November 1939 as a driver, and was killed in action on 5 July 1941, aged 26.
