Owners: James Arthur and others, registered Glasgow. Later General Shipping Co. (Aitken and Lilburn, managers) sold 1910 to Defence Department of Government of Victoria, for use as a training ship, and renamed 'John Murray'. Used for commerical purposes during WW1 she was wrecked at Malden Island, mid - Pacific, July 1918. No lives lost].
