'P.S. Cumberoona' at Mannum, and 'Paringa' under construction in Mannum Dock, with view of buildings in foreground and river across to opposite bank. 'P.S. Cumberoona' was reported in Trove June 1877 as being in the dock at Mannum for major repairs.

[Identification on photograph held by Library] Bow view of 'S.W. Pearl' at Echuca, with wharf in background, showing its original two funnels. It has been suggested that this is incorrect and that 'this is the first SWPS Pearl, not the SWPS Pearl built at Mildura by the Chaffey Bros'. According to another researcher, this is definitely the first Pearl, built in 1866 and converted to a side wheeler in 1879. Chaffey's Pearl wasn't built until 1890/91.
