It has been suggested that this is incorrect and that 'this is the first SWPS Pearl, not the SWPS Pearl built at Mildura by the Chaffey Bros'. According to another researcher, this is definitely the first Pearl, built in 1866 and converted to a side wheeler in 1879. Chaffey's Pearl wasn't built until 1890/91.
