Mill Street, Adelaide, west side, taken in 1920. This view features the building which was once Verco's Flour Mill, from which the street takes its name. See Register, 7 January 1860, page 3a. More recently it was used as a confectionery works [probably Harford's].

Victoria Square, Adelaide, in 1889. The Local and Insolvency Court building (now Supreme Court) features prominently and the old Supreme Court building (now Magistrates Court) can be seen on the other side of the square. The square's gardens are surrounded by wrought iron fencing.

King William Street, south east side, January 10th 1935, extreme right of buildings is 72 yards south of Angas Street and frontage of the new building is 19 yards. Additions to the Police Court and Police Commissioner's Office were erected in 1933-34. The new building is the three storey structure on the right. Compare with B 6300 and B 6305.

S.A. Police Headquarters, Angas Street, south side, 4 June 1965. This multi-storey building was erected in Angas Street in 1965, replacing the buildings on this site dating from 1891. Later the headquarters moved to Greenhill Road, Eastwood and later to Flinders Street in 1993. In 2001 the South Australian Police Headquarters returned to Angas Street to new premises at number 100.

The frontage of the building is 47.5 yards, and its left side is 13.5 yards east of Surflen Street. See B 6715 for the 1933-4 enlagement of the factory. Halifax Street, Adelaide, north side, on April 3rd, 1935. The left side of Slatters' boot factory is 14 yards east of Surflen Street and frontage is 47.5 yards. This photograph shows Slatter's factory as enlarged in 1933/5. See B 2658. A car and two bicyles are parked outside the double storey red brick factory which manufactures shoes and boots. A sign on the front of the buildings states " The home of Tauro footwear".

Sturt Street, south side, September 28th 1953, right side of light coloured building with the high doorway is 31 1/4 yards east of Norman Street and the frontage is 12 yards. Light coloured building erected c.1951. The building immediately adjoining the right side of the building with tall doorway was remodelled and incorporated in new structure shown in B 12924. Buildings behind galvanised fence were demolished. For structure erected on site see also B 12924 and B 12923. These alterations were made between September 1953 and January 1954. The signs on the partly demolished corner shop shows it was a milk depot and grocery store

Halifax Street, south side, January 7th 1929, far side of building is 22 yards east of Surflen Street and frontage is 13 yards. Administrative offices of the City Council Rubbish Destructor. Building was erected on a vacant site in 1927/28. The South Australian coat of arms and 'Halifax Street Depot' are mounted in stone on the front of the building. Small cottages can be seen next to the building.

Halifax Street, south side, 20th March 1964, left side of the building is 97 yards west of Hallett Street and frontage is 11 yards. The Halifax-Gilles Street site was used as a refuse destructor for Adelaide. The machinery was capable of incinerating 60 tons of refuse a day. The complex also included a clinker and mortar mill, flag making plant, hydraulic tin-balling press, a ten ton weighbridge and a steam disinfector. In 1952 the land fill refuse was moved to Wingfield and the Halifax Street site continued to be used as a Council works depot until the 1990s.
