First year crop of tobacco at Dungowan, near Penola. An experimental tobacco farm of 20 acres was planted near Penola, assisting in the development of tobacco growing in the area. Dungowan yielded 635 kilograms to the acre and sold at an average price of 43.5 cents per one kilogram. The price would have been higher but for damage caused by high winds to the leaves

Everard Park was once part of his extensive land holdings which included much of the land between Ashford and Glenelg. Dr Everard was one of the first colonists to grow wheat on one of his Town Acres on Morphett Street.

Bank of South Australia building, west side of King William Street, Adelaide. Standing In front of this magnificent French Renaissance building is a humble horse and cart. On the left is one of the recently introduced horse trams. This building, commissioned by the Bank of South Australia in 1875, was designed by Edmund W. Wright and completed by 1878. In 1972 there was a public campaign to save it from demolition and the State Government bought the building. After extensive renovations it was re-named Edmund Wright House. The frontage of the bank is 28 yards and its left side is 58 yards north of Currie Street. Its right side abuts Gilbert Place. Dates from somewhere between 1880-1883 (see directories).
