Transport is a variety of horse-drawn vehicles and there are several street vendor's barrows at the kerbside. The view is looking west from the Arcade, near side of the King of Hanover is about 40 metres west of Charles Street.

This photograph shows Brougham Place and Brougham Gardens, North Adelaide houses, parklands and distant suburbs. The house roofs of North Adelaide are receding into the distance behind the mansions lining Brougham Place. The small cottage with the striped verandah roof (centre of view) is soon to be replaced by a large Federation style house complete with turret. This can be seen in B 3473 which is a similar view taken in 1910 North Adelaide, looking north west from the North Adelaide Congregational Church / Acres 737, 738, 739. Compare with B 3489 and B 3490 which are similar views.
