The 'Australien' returning from Yarrawonga, 1937, carrying car as cargo with family group on upper deck. According to a researcher, the people are Captain King and family with their Hudson car. Daughter Thelma is reported to have grown up onboard the 'Australien' but never learnt to swim. The 'Australien's last major work was building the weirs on the Murray in the 1930s. She held the record - 10 days - for the fastest run up and back on the Darling river. She sank near the weir on Lake Mulwala, Yarrawonga in around 1962.
