Painted on that wall is proprietor Harry Small's advertisement for the 'Eagle on the Hill'. There is a sign on the main building 'Harry Small Proprietor' and a banner advertising 'H. Pike and Co., Oakbank Ales'. Possibly Harry Small and two other people stand outside the front of the building, along with another person, sitting in a four wheeled buggy.

$1,100 was raised at this mock wedding held at the Oakbank Soldier's Memorial Hall. Eight Hills Branches contributed towards this Baby Competition fundraiser. Personalities in the photograph are: Red Cross 'newlyweds' Mrs Thelma Hill and Mrs Beryl Aubrey (right) share a tender moment watched by (seated from left) flowergirl Mrs Maisie Faust, page boy Mrs Paulene Mossop and best man Mrs Betty Kemp.
