A black & white photographic postcard of the Charles Birks (later David Jones) store in Rundle Street, the section of which is now Rundle Mall. Writing on the verso reads 'Rundle Mall Store circa 1920. David Jones Celebrates 155 years...'. The photograph was found under the floorboards in a weatherboard house from Sturt which was transported to Auburn. This may have been a heritage card given as gifts to staff at David Jones.

Jones' School, Hawthorn Street, Mt. Barker. Originally called Temperance Hall, first used as a school by James Howie who was followed by Philip William Jones. The school children can be seen lined up outside the school. The teachers stand in the doorway and girls on the right, boys on the left. Philip William Jones was born in 1851, obtained his qualifications in 1871 and resigned in 1889.

The body of G.L. Jones, Photographer and Geologist with the Calvert Expedition as it was found in the desert. Lawrence Allen Wells report of finding the bodies of Jones and Charles Wells states, " I at once recognised Charles by his beard and features, the skin having dried on face and body. He lay under a desert gumtree, where had been erected a fly for shade. On top of sandridge, about one chain westerly remains George Jones found. Body evidently covered with sand by Charles, who had gone other tree to await death himself." Observer 12 June 1897 pg.29.
