People can be seen grouped around the church and these include Aboriginals, lady and two men standing near a wheelbarrow, a horse pulling a large barrel on a cart, a lady and a child and people entering the church.

Rundle Street, a painting by SJ Gill painted in 1845. This painting shows Rundle Street looking west from a point east of Tavistock Street. On the right are the Tavistock Buildings, erercted in 1840 by the South Australian Company. The two storey building towards the left is Miss Bathgate's boarding house on the south east corner of Rundle Street and Pulteney Street. In the foreground of the painting stands a cart pulled by bullocks loaded with bales of wool stamped South Australian Company. Several people are out walking including a few Aboriginal people carrying bundles of firewood.

[General description] Clarendon House is a three storey Georgian style stone building with dormer windows on its top floor and a widow's walk, built by Robert and Mary Thomas, pioneers and proprietors of the Register newspaper. On the right is their home, Rhantregwynwen Cottage, named after Robert's birthplace in Wales. The group of people at the front door are probably the family. Amongst the people shown in the street are a gentleman on horseback, a man driving a bullock team and some Aborigines. [On back of photograph] 'Acre 56 / 1840 / See Mary Thomas' "Diary and Letters", p. 150. / Looking south west from a point between Hindley Street and North Terrace. The cottage on the right is situated on the west side of what was later known as Register Place' (Another hand) 'Clarendon House apparently on east corner of Register Place' (Another hand) 'Copied from an old sketch in the possession of Mr. E.A.S. Thomas.'

West end of Hindley Street, Adelaide, South Australia, November 1849. Trinity Church, North Terrace, is on the left of the picture. Two Aboriginal people are in the centre of the engraving. A pair of oxen are pulling a heavily laden cart and further along Hindley Street a cart of straw is being pulled along by horses. A number of houses and businesses can be seen across the colony which is only just over a decade old at the time of the engraving. This engraving appeared in The Illustrated London News August 24th, 1850.

One of a pair of cast iron hitching posts in front of a house in Hill Street, North Adelaide, west side, north corner of Molesworth Street. The statues were erected by dentist Mr Hayes Norman, in front of his house. The statue depicts a small barefooted Aboriginal boy standing on a box holding a hitching ring. He is dressed in baggy trousers held up unevenly by one of a set of braces.

Alexander Charles Kelly (1822 -11877) sketched this view of Hindley Street in 1844. He has captured the narrowness of the street as it winds its way eastward towards the foothills. The spire of Holy Trinity can be seen on North Terrace. In the foreground of the artwork several Aboriginal people including a small naked child are depicted.

The "Ulooloo"
The "Ulooloo" ship 3328 gross, steel steamship built by W Beardmore and Company Limited, Dalmuir Glasgow as a cargo vessel. Began as a general cargo carrier servicing most states until diverted to the Queensland sugar trade. Sold in 1957 to Cambray Prince SS Company and renamed "Clyde Breeze". Early in 1962 renamed "Hankong" and was scrapped in mid 1962. Ulooloo is an Aboriginal name for permanent watercourse.

The "Aldinga"
The "Aldinga" (2), 3078 gross tons. Triple expansion engine 10 knots on 27 tons of coal per day. Cargo vessel laid down as "War Cloud" and completed as the "Glenstal" by Dublin Dockyard Company for the Limereick Steamship Company Limited. Launched 19 February 1920, ran trials 13 May 1920. In 1921 was bought by Adelaide Steamship Company Limited and renamed "Aldinga". In 1951 sold to South African owners and renamed "Natal Coast". In April 1955 ran aground in fog off Walvis Bay with a cargo of timber and palm oil. Total loss. Aldinga is the Aboriginal word for tree district and hunting ground.

The "Aroona", 3116 gross tons. Cargo vessel built by W Beardmore and Company, Dalmuir at Glasgow as "War Typhoon" for Sir Raylton Dixon and Company Middlesborough. In 1921 renamed "Cape of Good Hope" Acquired 1921 by Adelaide Steamship Company and renamed "Aroona". Sold in 1949 to unknown owners and renamed "Colon". In 1950 sold again and renamed "Meko". Scrapped at Hong Kong in 1955. Aroona is the Aboriginal word for flowing water.

The "Bungaree" ship, 3943 gross tons and built by Caledon Shipbuilding and Engineering Company at Dundee as a cargo vessel for the Adelaide Steamship Company Limited. It was registered in Melbourne. Triple expansion engine. Requisitioned as a minelayer during WW2. Sold 1957 to a subsidiary company of HC Sleigh in Melbourne and renamed "Dampier". Sold in 1960 and renamed "Eastern Mariner" under Panamanian registry. Struck a mine in Saigon River in Vietnam in 1966 and sank. Bungaree is the Aboriginal word for group of humpies.

S.S. "Paringa" was built at Kinghorn in England for the Adelaide Steamship Company's Spencer Gulf passenger services. She was a cargo vessels with 80 passenger capacity. The name Paringa means "By the River" in Aboriginal language.

R.M.S. "Rupara" single screw steamship built at Newcastle upon Tyne. Designed for the Spencer Gulf trade - Adelaide to Port Lincoln to Wallaroo. Carried 102 passengers. Rupara Aboriginal name for "round hill". Sold in 1919 to Hong Kong, wrecked in 1924.
