Summary

'Sister M. Giles, Matron in Charge, who served during the Great War in France, and later was iwth the Army of Occupation in Cologne, photographed with Mrs. H.E. Moore (assistant matron) on the right. Near the Adelaide Railway Station is the Cheer Up Schools Patriotic Fund hostel conducted by the Cheer Up Society. It has a modern block of buildings providing 302 beds, dining and recreational facilities. The Hut and Hostel are two separate buildings - both conducted by the Cheer Up Society Incorporated', from caption. Taken in Adelaide on 4 February 1945.
