Summary

Mount Lofty Railway Station was opened in 1883 and was the highest railway station between Adelaide and Melbourne. The station also housed a small wooden shelter and a signal box. It was originally called the Crafers Summit Railway Station and at one time up to thirty trains a day used the station.
