Summary

King William Street looking south along King William Street from the Post Office in 1933. The photograph shows Victoria Square as replanted after the removel of the iron railings. Each of the four garden quarters of Victoria Square have been divided by geometrically designed paths and lawns. King William Street runs through the middle of the square. Established trees grow around these gardens and the public convenience is situated in the north western quarter near the statue of Queen Victoria which stands in the middle of the square.
